Dr. Elliot Traxler was born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL. As a native of St. Pete, he attended St. Petersburg High School before completing his undergraduate education at the University of Florida. While in Gainesville, he majored in Nutritional Sciences with an emphasis on the role of nutrition in preventive healthcare.
Upon graduating from UF he attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in Lexington, KY. At UK he was educated in all specialties of dentistry with an emphasis on restorative care, endodontics, implants, and implementing digital technology into daily practice. Upon graduating and receiving his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD), he joined his long–time mentor and personal dentist, Dr. John Thee, in private practice in South Pasadena. He is currently a member of the ADA, FDA and WCDA.
Dr. Traxler takes pride in staying up to date in the newest advancements in dentistry and digital technology. He has training with same day CAD/CAM crowns, digital impressions, and 3D printing systems. He is dedicated to taking continuing education courses to further his knowledge of comprehensive dental care. His approach is to treat his patients like family and create treatment plans best suited to the individual needs of that specific patient.
In his free time, Dr. Traxler enjoys spending time with family and friends and spending time along the coastline of Florida. He particularly enjoys running, golfing, soccer, and wakeboarding. An avid sports fan, he spends his weekends supporting the Lightning, Rays, Buccaneers and the Florida Gators. He is a parishioner of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and enjoys volunteering in charitable organizations such as Pinellas Hope and the St. Pete Free Clinic.
